Alliance Partner Co-Presenter at MA Land Conservation Conference

The Trustees of Reservations, an Alliance partner, is co-presenting a workshop at the Massachusetts Land Conservation Conference on March 26, 2011. This year's conference theme is "Climate Change and Land Conservation."

The workshop, Restoring Ecological Integrity to Your Land in the Face of Climate Change, will include the restoration of Red Brook in Plymouth, Wareham and Bourne as a case study. The hope is Red Brook will be a good example of planned system restoration and management in the face of climate change.

Vulnerability Assessment Reports

Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences and the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (DFW) produced a series of three reports that address questions around the impact of climate change on ecosystems and species. The objective was to make “climate-smart” the State’s existing State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) – DFW’s “blueprint” for future conservation in the state.
